Our beginner program is divided into 8 comprehensive modules, each building on the previous one.
Module 1: Kitchen Setup & Safety
Setting up your workspace, essential equipment overview, kitchen safety rules, fire prevention and handling, proper food storage techniques.
Module 2: Knife Skills Fundamentals
Knife anatomy and types, proper grip and posture, basic cuts (chop, dice, mince), advanced cuts (julienne, brunoise, chiffonade), knife maintenance and sharpening.
Module 3: Understanding Heat & Cooking Methods
Dry heat vs. moist heat cooking, sautΓ©ing and pan-frying, roasting and baking, boiling, simmering, and steaming, grilling basics, temperature control and doneness.
Module 4: Building Flavor Foundations
Salt types and uses, pepper and spice basics, fresh vs. dried herbs, creating flavor profiles, balancing sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and umami, making simple sauces and dressings.

Module 5: Mastering Proteins
Selecting quality meat, poultry, and fish, proper thawing and preparation, cooking chicken to perfection, beef doneness guide, cooking fish without breaking it, plant-based protein options.
Module 6: Vegetable Mastery
Understanding vegetable families, proper washing and storage, cooking vegetables to retain nutrients, roasting for maximum flavor, stir-frying techniques, creating balanced sides.
Module 7: Starches & Grains

Do I need any prior cooking experience?
Absolutely not! Our beginner courses are designed specifically for men with little to no cooking experience. We start from the very basics and build up gradually.
What if I don’t have a well-equipped kitchen?
Our courses teach you how to cook with minimal equipment. The Premium Package includes a complete starter kit, and we provide guidance on what’s essential vs. what’s nice to have. You can learn to cook great food with just a few basic tools.
How much time will I need to dedicate each week?
For self-paced learning, you can spend as little as 2-3 hours per week. For live classes, expect 4-6 hours weekly including class time and practice. The course is designed to fit into busy schedules.
Will I need to buy expensive ingredients?
No! We focus on affordable, readily available ingredients that you can find at local markets and supermarkets in Vietnam. We also teach budget-friendly shopping strategies and how to use ingredients efficiently.
What if I miss a live class?
All live sessions are recorded and available for replay in your student portal. You can also submit questions in advance or ask in the community forum to get answers from instructors.
Is there an age requirement?
Our courses are designed for adult men aged 18 and above. There’s no upper age limit β we’ve had students in their 60s successfully complete our beginner program!
Can I take this course if I have dietary restrictions?
Yes! We can adapt recipes for common dietary needs including gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian preferences. Please inform us of any restrictions when you enroll so we can prepare appropriate modifications.
What happens after I complete the beginner course?
